The Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies is excited to be hosting an event for alumni and prospective applicants in Washington, D.C.! Besides catching up with our D.C. alumni, we will also be sharing information about the new Kroc School programs — both completely online. The Social Entrepreneurship in Action Certificate and the Master of Science in Humanitarian Action are the newest offerings to be offered at the Kroc School.

Hear from Kroc School alumnus Ben Stutz (MA in Peace and Justice) '05

Ben Stutz is the Director of New Hospital Development for the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services and Chief Operating Officer of the Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF). As the District’s hospital director, he leads the implementation of the first hospital to be built in the District of Columbia in over 20 years. The new, $400 million, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center - GW Health will be the first fully-integrated health facility built east of the Anacostia River. As Chief Operating Officer, Ben oversees DHCF’s Human Resources, Information Technology, and Contracting Services for the District's Medicaid program, which serves over 315,000 District residents, with a $3.8 billion budget.
