Ronald Niezen’s novel, The Memory Seeker, transports the reader into a hidden world of war crimes investigations, from the International Criminal Court in The Hague, to the aftermath of civil war in northern Mali, and from there to a sprawling Dutch investigation of crimes committed during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands in World War II.
Dr. Niezen is Professor of Practice in Sociology and in Political Science/International Relations at the University of San Diego. He was previously a professor at McGill University and Harvard University.
