Interested in how to Add Human Rights Advocacy, Peacebuilding to your Legal Training at USD? 1Ls are invited to attend an informational event to learn more about the JD-MA in Peace and Justice concurrent degree option at USD. This concurrent degree program provides students an opportunity to study law and policy while gaining a deep understanding of the historical, institutional and cultural factors that drive conflict, injustice, oppression, and poverty. 

Kroc School Professor of Human Rights and Associate Dean, Dustin Sharp, PhD, JD, will discuss how pursuing a lawyer’s route to peacebuilding can provide a fulfilling career path for anyone interested in making an impact through law and policy. Through an applied peacebuilding approach, students combine traditional legal training with peace and justice from world-class experts. 

The informational session will also review the timeline to complete the degree, application deadlines, requirements, and more.
